[UPDATED] 2026 Global Korea Scholarship Program (Undergraduate Degrees) REVISED

Due to the suspension of the Study in Korea online system, application submission through the system is currently unavailable. Accordingly, the application method and schedule have been revised as follows:



Applicants must submit their application documents via Embassy google form to the first round of selection institutions (embassy track or university track)* by the deadline.



  * First round of selection institutions



     - Embassy Track: Korean Embassy in your country



     - University Track: GKS-designated universities



Applicants who have already submitted their applications online are also required to resubmit their complete application documents to the first round of selection institutions by the deadline.



 



The Embassy of the Republic of Korea is pleased to announce that 2026 Global Korea Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Degree is now open for application.



 



The Korean government scholarship program will provide 150 students from 71 countries with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea for Bachelor-level degrees to promote international exchange in education and to deepen the mutual friendship among countries.



 



Four (4) students will be chosen from the Indonesia to complete the undergraduate program in prestigious Korean universities. The scholarship covers round trip airfare tickets, monthly stipend, tuition fees, settlement allowance, Scholarship Completion Grants, Korean language training expenses, and medical insurance.

1. Selection Schedule



▶ Deadline of Application Submission : October 17, 2025



* We will not accept any application after this deadline*



 



▶ Complete the below forms and upload all REQUIRED and OPTIONAL documents in 1 (ONE) PDF File.



    - Do not upload Letter of Recommendation through online. Recommendation letter can be submitted later when the candidates pass the interview.

    - Exact date and time will be advised only to the successful candidates few days before interview day

▶ Announcement of the 2nd round of selection by NIIED: late  November, 2025



 



▶ Announcement of the 3rd round of selection by University: December 26, 2025



 



▶ Final result announcement: January 9, 2026



 



 



2. Important Note

▶ Please read the attached guideline thoroughly



    - Submit the required documents correctly; and Complete the online forms for your database.



 



▶ Please submit 1 (ONE) SET of original application form and certificates, through google forms



    - After interview, the successful candidates are required to re-submit 1 (ONE) SET of original application form, consular-authenticated(or apostilled) documents, and 1 (ONE) original recommendation letter in ONE envelope



    - Embassy will make three copies when necessary



    - Upon the announcement of the interview, applicants are expected to prepare apostille documents.

▶ The Embassy will send the announcement for the successful and unsuccessful candidates via email to each candidate.



 



▶ Documents written in languages other than Korean or English must be accompanied with a complete Korean or English translation and submit the photocopied documents in original language.



 



▶ An applicant who doesn't submit all of the required documents in an appropriate form will be disqualified.



 



▶ If your document is smaller than a A4 document, attach it on a blank A4 paper. If your document is larger than a A4 document, photocopy it A4 size or fold the document to a A4 size.

3. Eligibility



 



▶ Applicants and their parents must hold foreign citizenship (i.e. non-Korean citizenship)



 



▶ Applicants must be under 25 years (born after March 1, 2001)



 



▶ Applicants who are expected to graduate(as of December 31, 2025)  must first submit a certificate of expected graduation at the time of application. If such applicants pass the first round of selection, they must submit a graduation certificate(or a degree certificate) and a transcript by December 31, 2025. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your acceptance.



 



▶ Grades : All applicants must have maintained the overall grade point average (CGPA) equivalent to or higher than any ONE of the following from their respective universities:



- 2.64 on a 4.0 scale;



- 2.80 on a 4.3 scale;



- 2.91 on a 4.5 scale;



- 3.23 on a 5.0 scale; or



- Score percentile: 80% or above on a 100 point scale or be ranked within the top 20% within one's class



 



▶ English Proficiency test that we accepted are TOEFL iBT and IELTS only.



 



▶ Applicants must choose THREE different desired universities and available fields of study among 69 universities listed in section III (Type A + Type B) of the attached guidelines and MUST include at least one university from Type B.
